Chief Exec – Operational & Financial Services Consultancy

We worked with this senior individual over a period of one year, helping them to build their skills and confidence in collaborating with senior peers.

A successful leader within their firm, this leader felt their career was at a cross-roads and was keen to expand their reach outside their own organisation. They wanted to develop a portfolio of roles, chairing panels and boards and acting as strategic advisor. Their initial request was to increase the impact they had in large public groups, involving a combination of shifting mindset (confidence) and developing practical tools for doing this.

We agreed a programme of six in-depth coaching sessions spread over a year. After each session, we sent them a reminder of the key themes and agreed actions, to help maintain progress between sessions. We also used a relevant psychometric tool in one of the sessions as a prompt for connecting more effectively with others.

  • Self-perception of their own confidence shifted from 4/10 at the start to 9/10 one year on.
  • Their assessment of their own assertiveness shifted from 5/10 at the start to 8-9/10 one year on.
